Forte represents Pella Northland in 85,000 sq. ft. space consolidation in Brooklyn Park
Forte Real Estate Partners has represented Pella Northland in a new 85,000 sq. ft. lease in Crosstown North Business Center V, 9100 Wyoming Ave N, Brooklyn Park for its corporate office and distribution space. The window and door distributor has consolidated two office/warehouse locations into the new location to support efficiency and growth.
Pella Northland serves Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota, and South Dakota and took occupancy of the 65,000 sq. ft distribution center and 20,000 sq. ft. office/showroom space on August 1. Pella had been in its existing location in Plymouth for more than 30 years and wanted to consolidate the locations to accommodate growth and improve collaboration.
“We are excited about our new home in Brooklyn Park,” said Peter Martin, president – Pella Northland. “This was an exhaustive, multi-year process and the team at Forte Real Estate Partners worked hard to ensure our new headquarters meets the needs of our current business but also allowed for continued growth.”
Forte’s Dan Lofgren, senior vice president – Advisory, and Jim Jetland, principal, advised the company’s site review, and lease negotiations, while Wally Tufvander, vice president – Project Management, collaborated with the company on its relocation and renovation project management.
“During the almost three-year search, we exhausted multiple options for them to consider – from new construction, buying, or leasing. Ultimately, leasing proved to be the best option to support the growth of the business for the next five to 10 years,” said Lofgren.
The office and warehouse build-out includes Pella products throughout the space, which is adjacent to a state-of-the-art showroom and staff training center.
“It’s not often that I can work with a company and use their products in the space,” said Tufvander. “I enjoyed working with their leadership to keep the project on time and on budget, in collaboration with the other project partners.”
Mohagen Hansen was the architect and The Bainey Group served as the general contractor.
