Carlisle Fluid Technologies leases 120k sq. ft. in Scannell’s Seven Lakes redevelopment
The long-term lease sets up the company for continued growth
Carlisle Fluid Technologies (CFT) has entered into a long-term lease for a 120,000 square foot new office and manufacturing space in Scannell’s Seven Lakes redevelopment in Shoreview.
CFT manufactures products and systems for the supply, application and curing of sprayed materials including paints, coatings, powders, mastics, and bonding materials. The long-term lease allows room for continued growth for CFT. The company has more than 14 locations across the globe, with the new facility in Shoreview to serve as the company’s new corporate headquarters.
CFT’s new space will have roughly 30,000 sq. ft. of office space, 80,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing and distribution space, and 10,000 sq. ft. for lab/R&D.
“We are excited to begin realizing our operational vision by consolidating our Twin Cities operations into a new, state-of-the art facility. This facility will serve as our global center of excellence for our control-related products and allow us to leverage our engineering and operations resources to meet the demands of our global customers,” said Fred Sutter, President and CEO, Carlisle Fluid Technologies.
Dan Lofgren and Joe Jetland, of Forte Real Estate Partners, represented CFT in the long-term lease. Lofgren and Jetland worked with CFT to find suitable properties in the northern suburbs near the company’s existing operations.
“Our goal was to find a site that was centrally located between their two existing Twin Cities production facilities. Supporting employee retention was a primary driver,” said Jetland. While CFT reviewed more than 20 options, the Seven Lakes site became the clear favorite because of its centralized location. “The new Seven Lakes development is reinvigorating life into an underutilized site that will provide a vibrant workplace with modern amenities for Carlisle. We are proud to be involved with such an exciting new project,” said Lofgren.
Seven Lakes, a 448,000 square foot industrial development, features three roughly 150,000 square foot state-of-the-art industrial buildings for warehouse, tech, and manufacturing space. Construction began in April 2024 with delivery in Q1 of 2025.
“Since 2020, we have been hard at work collaborating with the City of Shoreview. We appreciate the partnership to reimagine this site. We couldn’t be more pleased to welcome Carlisle Fluid Technologies at Seven Lakes. They will be a great addition to the park and the community,” said Jake Kurth, development manager – Scannell. RJ Ryan is the general contractor for the building shell.
