
Mike Nordstrom
EXPERIENCE
Mike started his career in 1983 working for Pillsbury until 2001. He steadily worked his way from Development Coordinator to Site Engineer to Construction Manager all the way to Vice President of Business Services. In 2001 he started working for General Mills until 2018. He started as Vice President Real Estate and Facilities to Vice President Corporate Services to Vice President Global Workplace Solutions and retired in 2018. While at General Mills, Mike oversaw all Real Estate, Facilities, Corporate Construction, Global Service Desk and Global Employee Services, with an annual expense budget of over $75 million and an annual capital budget of $20 to $40 Million.
Mike joined Excelsior Advisory in June 2019 when his friend Jim Jetland asked him to come out of retirement and manage Excelsior Advisory. In 2021, Mike helped to bring together another of his friends, Philip Simonet, to join Jim Jetland and Steve Brown to form Forte Real Estate Partners. Mike services as Executive Vice President of Operations for Forte, lending his years of real estate expertise to all divisions of the company-Advisory, Project Management, Property Management, Portfolio Services and Workplace Solutions.
