Jan began her career in residential property management overseeing large apartment portfolios in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. Following her tenure in that industry, she transitioned to Target Corporation as a project manager in the Commercial Real Estate Department. During Target’s extensive growth and expansion years, her role was to select, negotiate, and build-out the executive offices around the United States. She worked with numerous office brokers, construction managers, legal advisors, and many other real estate profes-sionals to create Target standard office sites.

In 2004 Jan joined Brookfield Properties to co-manage the City Center, 33 South 6th Street, and Gaviidae Common. This allowed her to merge her property management background with her Target experience as they were, and remain, the largest tenant at 33 South 6th Street in downtown Minneapolis.

Jan started with United Properties, which ultimately became Cushman & Wakefield in 2007. Over the years, she has managed cumulatively over 3 million square feet of office, industrial, retail, and medical properties on behalf of smaller private owners as well as large national ownership entities. As a seasoned professional, she has the knowledge to be successful, along with the drive to grow and change.

Jan’s role at Forte within the Property Management division includes owner, tenant and vendor relations, construction management, budgeting and financial analysis of industrial, office and retail properties.
