Fourth Urgency Room slated to open in Golden Valley

The Urgency Room, a physician-owned medical clinic, has signed a lease to open the practice group’s fourth metro location in Golden Valley. The new 19,016 sq. ft. clinic is slated to open in August 2025 after renovations to the new location are complete.
The Urgency Room is owned and operated by EPPA, a group of emergency physicians who staff hospital emergency departments across Minnesota. These providers also serve the Urgency Rooms, which provide high-quality care without the hassle and cost of an emergency department or hospital.
Forte Real Estate Partners’ Steve Brown represented EPPA in its site selection and analysis for a location in the west metro. The three existing Urgency Room locations are Eagan, Woodbury, and Vadnais Heights.
“The Urgency Room continues to be a cutting-edge approach to emergency and urgent care, offering more services and more expertise than a traditional urgent care but with reduced costs compared to an emergency department,” said Brown, Forte principal and leading Twin Cities healthcare expert. “The Golden Valley location was the best fit due to the demographics and the lack of similar services nearby.”
In its search, EPPA evaluated both new construction and renovating an existing location but selected an existing location due to the increased costs for construction and increased interest rates. The new location is a single-story property with extensive parking, excellent signage, and convenient access to I-394 and Hwy. 100.
Dr. Rob Thomas, President and chief executive officer – EPPA, said, “We have found success in the eastern metro and know there is demand for better healthcare options in the western suburbs. After an extensive search involving multiple markets, we are pleased to be under construction on our newest Urgency Room location which will be open to patients Q3 of 2025.”
About EPPA: EPPA (Emergency Physicians Professional Association) is an independent, democratic physician group, staffing Minnesota emergency departments. The EPPA team operates in six of the main hospital emergency rooms in the Twin Cities area and three Urgency Room locations where they make an impact both inside and outside of hospital walls.
